Around the Swedish village of Tanumshede, thousands of Bronze-Age petroglyphs cover ice-polished granite outcrops. Boats, chariots, hunters and enigmatic sun-wheels record a vanished cosmology, and the carvings are often filled with red paint today to make them legible.
