The westernmost major painted cave of Cantabrian Spain, at San Román de Candamo in Asturias. Its 'Wall of Engravings' concentrates painted and engraved horses, bison and a famous bellowing stag wounded by spears; after decades of closure and restoration the cave again receives small numbers of visitors.
