A UNESCO World Heritage site in the Hail region of northwestern Arabia. The engravings record a 'Green Arabia' — a period when the now-arid desert was covered with lakes, rivers and abundant wildlife. Human figures in boats, long-horned cattle and now-extinct animals reveal a lost world of extraordinary richness.
