Rising out of the Chadian Sahara, the Ennedi Massif is a natural sandstone fortress sculpted by wind and water. Its thousands of caves and rock shelters feature vibrant, painted rock art spanning millennia. The famed 'flying gallop' horses and scenes of elaborate cattle pastoralism speak to a time when the Sahara was teeming with life.
