Sites

Painted Cave (Niah Caves) Situated about 150 metres from the renowned Niah Great Cave—where evidence shows human settlement dates back 40,000 years—the smaller Painted Cave (Gua Kain Hitam) served as a profound ancient burial ground.

Tambun Rock Art Discovered by a Gurkha Rifles officer in 1959, this prominent rock face overlooking Ipoh features over 600 distinct forms painted in hematite.
